Otitun

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

Otitun (“we”, “us”) is an independent companion app Your Audio, Your Way that helps families build Yoto Make Your Own (MYO) cards. This policy explains what we collect and why.

1. Information we collect

  • Account email: used to sign you in with a one-time code or Google/Apple, and to contact you about your account.
  • Yoto connection: you sign in on Yoto’s own page. We never see or store your Yoto password. Yoto access tokens are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device.
  • Your audio and cards: files you upload are passed through our servers only to be sent to your Yoto account. We don’t keep copies or use them for any other purpose.
  • AI features (optional): when you use AI Studio or Magic Title, the text or short audio sample you provide is sent to our AI provider to generate the result. It is not used to train models by us.
  • Basic usage data: standard server logs (e.g. errors, request times) to keep the service working.

2. How we use Yoto permissions

We request access to your Yoto library and MYO content so you can create, edit and update your own cards. If enabled, player access would only be used to show your players’ status (battery, connection) in the app. Staying-signed-in access is used only so you don’t have to reconnect every day. We never sell, share or advertise using your Yoto data.

3. Cookies and local storage

We use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences, saved covers and icons. We don’t use advertising cookies.

4. Sharing

We share data only with providers needed to run the service (hosting, authentication, email, AI processing) and with Yoto when you ask us to update your cards. We don’t sell personal data.

5. Children

Otitun is for parents and caregivers. It is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect children’s personal information.

6. Your choices

  • Disconnect Yoto any time from the Connect page or your Yoto account settings.
  • Clear local data by signing out or clearing your browser storage.
  • Ask us to delete your account by emailing support@otitun.com.
